Media artist Pekka Sassi (b. 1969) graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki in 2000. His works include experimental sound and video pieces. He has been granted the AVEK Award (2006), the Stina Krooks Foundation grant (2017) and the Maire Gullichsen Prize (2020). Pekka Sassi’s public work Three Colours was completed at the premises of the Finnish National Agency for Education in Helsinki in 2021. Sassi’s works can be found in several collections, including those at the Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma, the State Art Commission, HAM Helsinki Art Museum and EMMA – Espoo Museum of Modern Art.
